| Additional Information: | Original poster: United Kingdom United Airlines, original medium size format, United Air Lines travel poster. Archival linen backed. Very good to excellent condition. It is a common sight just step out of London and into the countryside to see hot air balloons rising up into the sky, trying to catch the sun as it sets. Throughout his career, Nigel has split his time between teaching illustrations at a very academic levels and creating award winning art for world renowned clients. He fondly recalls receiving both a silver and a bronze in the Association of illustrators prestigious Images awards book, the U.K.'s only judged annual contest devoted to illustrators. Today, Nigel still appreciates this beauty throughout the diverse British landscape, from the soft rolling hills of Kent to the rugged Cairngorms in Scotland. With time, he has also grown to find it in the cities as well, including London, on of the worlds great architecture cities. It was during his many drives home to Falmouth from London on a stretch of road where balloons dot the sky, that he found inspiration for our scene here. |
