This mid-century modern original French poster is for an air show at the Bourget Airport which took place between the 12th and 21st of June, 1959. This is a bold and dynamic vintage poster that sweeps up the viewer in it playful design. The design was created by the artist Paul Formentier and Edgar Derouet in 1953. In addition to the poster, this image was also created as a postage stamp for the 50th Anniversary of this air show. The bold and simple design has the aesthetics of space-age influence. The background of this poster in sky blue has three images of interlocked arrows pointing upwards. One arrow is in red, dark blue, and the other in yellow.
