A visual play on Grant Wood’s famous painting, AMERICAN GOTHIC. This World War 2 poster is linen backed with the original fold marks restored. (US Government posters printed during WW2 were all folded so that they could be mailed across the United States.) The Join the U.S. Crop Corps is archival linen backed in very good condition, ready to frame. "Work on a farm… this Summer. Join the U. S. Crop Corps. See your U. S. Employment Service or your local county agent." This vintage poster from 1943 features the farmer with a pitch form standing by his wife. She is holding a basket with veggies from their farm garden.
