| Additional Information: | Poseidon Certificate. 1932. This certificate was given to those aboard the Hamburg-America line after crossing the equator. It is an example with various stamps and signatures on each line. Linen backed. This original lithograph vintage poster, meticulously preserved, bears the marks of its journey-a horizontal crease through the center, creases to corners, and thinning to the bottom left corner. Despite these, it maintains its B+ condition. The date added for the crossing was June 24, 1932. Text is in German. \The image features Poseidon holding a trident and floating in a large shell while sea creatures hold a palm frond to keep him cool. Another creature presents him with a white and blue ship flag with an embossed seal. Behind Poseidon is a large ship that features three large smoke stacks.
