Additional Information: | Original French poster Levurine. Artist John Onwy. Archival linen backed in very good condition with very minor touch up. Rare kitchen original lithograph. Printed by Vercasson, one of France’s premier stone lithograph companies. This little red headed boy is sitting in a backing tin that has grown in size because Levurine is a yeast used in backing. The artist Onwy is known for his children designs in the old French posters. Onwy made sure that this little boy will be happy with his baked goods by the big smile on his face. This is a great and very rare original French lithograph. As of the time of this publishing it is the only documented copy that we can find. Smaller companies produced fewer posters due to the cost and the fact that this is from 1920 makes it even more rare. You won’t see it in someone else’s home.
