Additional Information: | Original poster: CIRQUE PINDERS, SesFauves. Mounted on acid free archival linen. This is a fabulous poster advertising the Circus Pinder's Big Cats. Here we see Alfred Court with his Royal Tigers. Court wanted the audience to focus their attention of the animals, not on him, and was perfection at showing an audience how fascinating and incredibly dangerous large cats are. Born in 1883 to a wealthy family of industrialists’, Court was the last of 10 children born. Court started out his circus life as an acrobat at the age of 15, but due to accidents that left him with a broken arm and his knee removed in 1904, he turned his talents toward the ferocious tigers and lions. This is an Original Lithograph Vintage Poster; it is not a reproduction. This poster is professional acid-free conservation mounted and in very good condition. |
